Who to blame for America’s woes?
A majority of Americans put the blame squarely on the shoulders of politicians for the problems our country is facing. In a Poll Position national scientific telephone survey we asked who is most to blame for problems in America among big business, politicians, the media or some other group. Democrats see things differently than Republicans and Independents. Democrats put the blame on big business by 42% over 39% for politicians. Republicans blamed politicians first with 63%, the media came in at number two for Republicans at 15%, some other group was third at 10%, big business was fourth among Republicans at 9%. Among Independents, politicians were number one to blame at 51%, big business was second at 24%, the media was third at 11%, some other group was fourth at 7%.
