Showdown: Best doughnuts?

In our national public opinion poll showdown between doughnut store giants Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme, the American people have spoken: One chain’s doughnuts are best.

Drumroll please.

The answer: Krispy Kreme.

When we asked “Which doughnut store’s doughnuts do you like best – Dunkin’ Donuts, Krispy Kreme, or some other place?”, here’s how Americans responded:

Krispy Kreme 38%

Dunkin’ Donuts 20%

Some other place: 27%

No opinion 16%

Men, women, Republicans, Democrats, independents, whites, blacks, Hispanics, and adults of all ages agreed: Krispy Kreme doughnuts are better than those of Dunkin’ Donuts.

Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,076 registered voters nationwide was conducted January 10, 2012 and has a margin of error of ±3%. Poll results are weighted to be a representative sampling of all American adults.
