Favorite type of movie?
The holidays are a good time to catch a movie. With that in mind we wondered what type of movies do Americans prefer to watch. In a Poll Position national scientific telephone survey we asked your preferences. Here are the results:
Women and men differ on their preferences. Among women, 34% picked comedies, 21% liked dramas, 16% preferred romance and 12% liked action movies. Men weighed in with 36% liking action movies the best, 26% chose comedies, 9% of men selected dramas.
Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,139 registered voters nationwide was conducted December 18, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%. Poll results are weighted to be a representative sampling of all American adults.
