Do you like eggnog?

Do you like eggnog?

When you are at a holiday party and eggnog is being served, do you drink it, or opt for some other holiday refreshment? In a Poll Position national scientific survey, 44% of Americans say they like eggnog, 34% do not, 10% said they have never had eggnog, 12% did not have an opinion.

Older Americans, those over 65, like eggnog the most with 49% saying they like the holiday drink, 27% do not, only 7% said they have never had eggnog, and 17% did not have an opinion. Whites were close behind with 48% liking eggnog, 38% did not like it, 7% said they have never had eggnog, 8% did not have an opinion.

Men and women had almost identical views on eggnog. Among men and women, 44% said they like eggnog. Thirty-five percent of men did not like eggnog, versus 33% of women who said they did not like the rich and frothy drink.

Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,024 registered voters nationwide was conducted December 08, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%. Poll results are weighted to be a representative sampling of all American adults.
