Newt Gingrich or Ron Paul?
When we asked Americans who they think will win the GOP presidential nomination in a head-head race between Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul, Gingrich is the clear winner on two fronts. In a Poll Position national scientific telephone survey, among all Americans asked, 55% think Gingrich will win the GOP nomination, 17% think Paul will be the choice of the Republican party, but 28% did not have an opinion on either of the two. The news is even better for the surging Gingrich when we asked Americans who plan to vote in the Republican primary, as noted below:
The margin is closer among Independents with 45% saying they think Gingrich will win the nomination, 26% picked Paul, however 30% did not yet have an opinion. Among Independents who plan to vote in the Republican primary, Gingrich leads Paul by a 71% to 19% margin. Ten percent of Independents planning to vote in the GOP primary did not have an opinion.
Democrats think Gingrich will win the nomination by 41% to 15% over Paul. However, 44% did not have an opinion. Paul came out on top of Gingrich among Democrats who said they would vote in the Republican primary with 49% choosing him to win the nomination, 34% picked Gingrich, 17% offered no opinion.
Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,024 registered voters nationwide was conducted December 8, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%. Poll results are weighted to be a representative sampling of all American adults.

According to your own results, Ron Paul not Newt Gingrich is the clear winner. I doubt any informed person will vote for Gingrich with his long history of documented corruption, flip flops and hypocrisy. He’s not electable, nor is in the least bit trustworthy.

If people knew and understood the philosophical consistency and intellectual depth of
Dr. Ron Paul and studied the books of the people from whom he draws his principles, the election would be over and America would be saved.
Although Dr. Paul is sometimes accused of being a Randian, this is a lie. While he mentions her, and what libertarian wouldn’t, he actually draws his beliefs from John Locke, Ludwig Von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Hans Hermann Hoppe, Carl Menger, F.A. Hayek, Randolph Bourne, Lew Rockwell and others of the Austrian school.
It is an American shame that most people are ignorant of the arguments these individuals have made for liberty and free markets. Their writings are kept from the American people and our educational establishment so the media can be left to frame debate. This censorship and media filtering is a form of thought control. The ruling class knows it is better off if Americans are divided and spend their time arguing about gay marriage and flag lapel pins.
Americans, I beg you. Please educate yourself and discover the questions that need to be asked. Learn how genius economists, statesmen and philosophers have advanced the arguments for liberty and free markets. Read how they have answered questions regarding liberty, peace, property rights and prosperity after having made the study of economics, history, war, government, philosophy, religion and liberty a lifetime endeavor.
When people understand that all other politicians are statists, except for Ron Paul who champions the individual, their choice for whom to elect as president will be made clear. What other candidate authored books like “Liberty Defined”, “A Foreign Policy of Freedom”, “The Revolution, A Manifesto”, “Freedom Under Seige” and “Pillars of Prosperity”? What other candidate would mention Bastiat’s “The Law” on national television? The guy is a true revolutionary for liberty. When you understand the argument you will finally understand Ron Paul.
Ron Paul wins LANDSLIDE over the Gingrich(the new liar about lying). Gingrich got to come clean and PAY BACK the $ 1.5 Milions he took from Fannie Mae. That MONEY belongs TO THE PEOPLE and that is ill-gained money JUST LIKE THE ENRONS. Gingrich ROBBED the system being the INSIDER. He lobbied to Fannie Mea and he now LIED about he is just giving advises for that $1.5 mil. Who in the right mind actually BELIEVE Fannie Mae gave $1.5 Million to Gingrich for NOTHING? Wake up my fellow Americans. Gingrich is a shameful shaddy person. Stand up, Gingrich. Be a MAN and admit the YOU TOOK that lobby money and SO WHAT if YOUR HOUSE ARE FORECLOSED? That is your freaking problem. We Americans are very stupid.
Ron Paul has 77.8%. ‘We the people’ should ignore the mainstream media because it is all lies. Why is it so hard to find numbers for Ron Paul, but when you finally do, HE IS DOING THE BEST?!? Thank the false news networks, folks.

Why does the article say Gingrich is winning when the poll says Ron Paul is winning?
your online poll has Dr. Paul as way ahead…also I like to know how participants are being chosen in polls that claim to be “scientifically sound.” Who knows what demographic the participants were from? I highly doubt independents are voting over Paul…blah
