Are you a TV shopper?
With the holiday season on us and gift giving just around the corner, there is one place a majority of Americans say they will not be shopping. In a Poll Position national scientific telephone survey we asked, have you ever purchased items from television consumer sites such as QVC or the Home Shopping Network. A good number of you, 71% said no you have not, 21% said you have shopped on television, 9% did not have an opinion.
By a slight margin more women than men say they have shopped on TV with 22% of women saying they have, 69% have not, and 9% offered no opinion. Among men, 19% say they have purchased items on television, 73% have not, 8% had no opinion.
Hispanics like to shop on television with 26% saying have purchased items on TV, 49% have not, 26% did not have an opinion. Among African-Americans 21% have shopped on television, 57% have not, 22% did not have an opinion. Nineteen percent of whites said they have purchased items on TV, 77% have not, 3% did not offer and opinion.
Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,138 registered voters nationwide was conducted November 29, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%. Poll results are weighted to be a representative sampling of all American adults.
