Favorite online shopping site?
Amazon is the choice for online shopping among Americans who shop on the internet. In a Poll Position national scientific telephone survey, 33% of Americans who do online shopping chose Amazon as their shopping site, eBay was the choice of 24%, Craigslist was picked by 4%, with some other online shopping site the choice of 39%.
Cyber Monday, the online version of Black Friday, is behind us and appears to have set records this year. According to IBM’s Coremetrics, Cyber Monday sales were up 33% over last year. The final dollar amount is not yet in but is expected to top one billion dollars in online sales.
Amazon was the number one choice for women shopping onine with 41% selecting that online site, 39% said they used some other online shopping site, 17% picked eBay, and 3% Craigslist. Among men, 30% picked eBay, 27% chose Amazon, 38% said they shopped on some other online site, and 5% picked Craigslist.
Young people, those in the 18-29 year old age group, said they shop online most at eBay by 42% to 17% over Amazon, 40% said they shopped at some other site. Those 65 and older picked Amazon by 41% to 13% over eBay, 43% said they shopped at another online site, and 3% chose Craigslist.
African-Americans and whites had almost exact opposite picks for online shopping with 38% of whites choosing Amazon to 18% of African-Americans saying they shop online there. The choice for African-Amerians is eBay with 39% picking that online site to 18% of whites making eBay their choice. Forty-one percent of African-Americans said they shop on some other online sites while 40% of whites said they also shop at another site.
Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,138 registered voters nationwide was conducted November 29, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%. Out of 1,138 the sample base among those who shop online is 534 with a margin of error of ±4%. Poll results are weighted to be a representative sampling of all American adults.

I like Craigslist because you can many good quality things for a cheaper price. The problem is, you have to do your research before buying the product. You don’t know what condition it could be in. Also, you have to be careful with the person that is selling it. You never know who it is.
As for me,I like shopping online with coupons & deals,because you can get % off or $ off,even free shipping. Sites I like are RetailMeNot,Savings,CouponSnapshot. Sometimes,I use ebay to get cash back.
