88%: No cosmetic surgery

If you know someone who has had cosmetic surgery you are in the minority. In a Poll Position national scientific telephone survey we asked if you have ever had cosmetic surgery. An overwhelming number of Americans, 88% said they have not had cosmetic surgery, 7% said they have, and 5% did not have an opinion.

Men and women had identical numbers in the survey. When asked the question, both sexes had the following response, 88% said they have not had cosmetic surgery, 7% said they have, and 5% had no opinion.

Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,176 registered voters nationwide was conducted November 27, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%.  Poll results are weighted to be a representative sampling of all American adults.
