Ready for the holidays?

With Halloween behind us and Thanksgiving on the way, we wondered if you think we begin observing holidays too early. In our Poll Position survey a majority of you, 52% said yes we start too early, 9% said too late, 22% felt we observe holidays at just the right time and 17% did not have an opinion.

A majority of men and women also think holiday observations begin too early. Among women, 53% said too early, 12% said too late, 21% said we observe at just the right time and 19% did not have an opinion. Men felt we start too early by 51% to 12% choosing too late. Twenty-two percent of men think we start observing holidays at just the tight time and 15% offered no opinion.

Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,032 registered voters nationwide was conducted November 01, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%.

  1. I think Americans get ready for holidays way to early. I am usually excited for Christmas and Thanksgiving, but this year, it feels like it just came around to fast.
