Halloween: Tricky timing?
The night to go trick-or-treating is Halloween night, at least according to 63% of the people we asked in our Poll Position national telephone survey. With Halloween falling on Monday this year we wondered if you believe children should go out for candy Monday night, or instead dress up and go door-to-door the weekend before. A large majority, 63% picked Halloween night, 24% chose the weekend before Halloween and 13% did not have an opinion.
Men and women were almost identical in their choices. In fact 63% of men and women said children should trick-or-treat on the actual night of Halloween. Twenty-four percent of men picked the weekend before, while 23% of women thought the weekend before was a better time for the children to go out.
The right night was really no contest among those we polled in the 18-29 year old age group with 76% selecting the actual night of Halloween versus 24% choosing the weekend before Halloween to go trick-or-treat.
Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of registered voters nationwide was conducted October 27, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%.

OF COURSE!
You HAVE to go trick or treating on the night of Halloween! It’s tradition!
I agree you have to trick-or-treat on the day of Halloween otherwise it is not as much fun. Exactly, it is a tradition. If we have to be late for jobs or school let it be so. On Halloween you have to have fun and stay out late and party with your friends.
