Happy with your sex life?
Younger adults are far more likely than older adults to be happy with their sex life.
A national Poll Position survey found 82% of 18-29 year old saying they’re happy with their sex life. The older the poll participant, the less likely the respondent said yes, and the less likely the respondent would answer the question with a yes or no, opting for a “no opinion,” instead.
Overall, 59% of American adults said they were pleased with their sex life, 14% said they weren’t, and 27% expressed no opinion. By age group: 18-29 – 82% yes, 4% no, 14% no opinion; 30-44 – 66% yes, 17% no, 34% no opinion; 45-64 – 51% yes, 15% no, 38% no opinion; 65+ – 41%, 17%, 43%.
Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,135 adults nationwide was conducted October 9, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%.
